Mediation & Consulting Services in Florida
Conflict resolution with both the clinical depth and practical structure to actually work.
Most mediators come from a legal background. What they often can't offer is what happens in the room — the ability to work with the emotional charge that keeps people stuck.
Not your typical Florida mediator
Most Florida mediators are attorneys handling court-ordered disputes: divorce settlements, property disagreements, civil litigation. That's important work. It's not what I do. My practice focuses on relationship and communication conflict: the kind where the relationship itself matters, not just the outcome of the dispute.
Clinical training in conflict and emotional regulation. I understand what happens in someone's nervous system during a heated dispute.
Gottman Method training. A research-backed framework for understanding patterns that keep people stuck in recurring conflict.
Supreme Court certification. The formal credential, training, and standing to serve as a neutral mediator in Florida.
A carefrontational approach. Direct enough to be useful. Warm enough that people can actually hear what's being said.
Most conflict isn't about a lack of willingness to resolve things. It's about nervous systems that have learned to protect rather than connect — and a conversation structure that makes it hard to do anything else.

What people ask about mediation & consulting before reaching out
-
No. Therapy is an ongoing clinical relationship focused on healing and growth. Mediation is structured, time-limited, and focused on resolving a specific dispute. These are separate services with separate ethical frameworks — and I keep them that way.
-
Yes. Mediation is voluntary — it works because all parties have agreed to participate in good faith. The initial conversation can help clarify whether the situation is a good candidate.
-
It can be, when properly executed with the involvement of attorneys. For matters where a formal legal agreement is important, working with an attorney alongside or following mediation is recommended.
-
Mediation: I serve as a neutral third party to help parties in dispute reach resolution. Consulting: I work with an organization to address conflict dynamics and communication patterns. Many engagements blend both.
